Legionnaires 2 @ Contacts 6

The Legionnaires dropped a 6-2 decision to the Contacts up in Saskatoon tonight.

Colton Heffley and Reiley Grose scored for Swift Current. Both goals came on the power play, which capitalized twice in nine tries tonight and gave up one shorthanded goal. The teams were very evenly matched through two periods. However the Contacts took over in the third stanza, outshooting the visitors 13-6 and outscoring them 3-1. Lukas MacDonald took the loss in goal for the Legions and made 35 saves in a losing cause.

Injuries have hampered the team's progress throughout this season, and tonight was no different. The Legionnaires were without four of their lineup regulars including Balaski, (concussion) Turner (wrist) Logan (knee) and Cleghorn. (concussion)
