Tigers Earn Weekend Split

The final score from Medicine Hat....

The Broncos showed good work ethic for the most part but didn't find the chemistry to do the damage needed. Their many odd man rushes up ice never connected. As a result the game went the other way, and Swift Current had it's four-game win streak snapped. Although they got 34 pucks to the goal, Deven Dubyk was strong in the Medicine Hat net. Michael Stickland was beautifully set up by a hardworking Cody Eakin and scored his second goal in as many nights to bring the score to 2-1 in the third. Any momentum from the goal though was quickly extinguished when the Tigers replied seconds later to make it 3-1. The Broncos' power play also sputtered to 0 for 4 on the night while the Tigers capitalized once on three chances.

For the second straight game, the Tigers kept ringing the iron frame behind Bronco G Mark Friesen. But this time they persevered and finally managed to open up a sizable lead in the third period. After that they did a good job of putting the game on ice.

The Broncos will be off until next Friday, when they visit the Red Deer Rebels.

Hey Ern, care to make a friendly wager on tomorrow's game? You can pay up in Tisdale this weekend :)

No Bryant, I will not put money on it. I've lost too much money that way. :)

Anything can happen.

I was thinking the loser has to buy fries at the rink between periods of your broadcast.
